If you didn’t know, this year’s school musical is Annie Jr.! An amazingly talented cast has been picked to play the roles to sing and dance on stage, but do you know what’s happening backstage? What hard work is being put in to make sure the show goes perfectly? Well I do, I’m part of the running crew that 8th grade science teacher, Mr. Ott, is in charge of. Here is an interview with Mr. Ott, asking him about the play this year.
Q: Are you excited for the musical?
A: Of course, it is really good to be back and we have a really good cast and a really good crew this year.
Q: What are you most worried about?
A: I think something that I worry about the most is the scene changes and that we won’t have a lot of time to change the scene.
Q: How is the building coming along?
A: This crew is the fastest crew that I have ever had and we are three weeks ahead this year and I’m so excited about that.
Q: What does the Running Crew do?
A: The Running Crew has two jobs, the crew builds the sets and changes the scenes during the play. The Running Crew also repairs sets when they break.
